EMDR Therapy
Why EMDR?
EMDR therapy is often sought by individuals who are struggling with difficult or traumatic memories that continue to affect their daily lives.
If it’s past trauma, anxiety, or deep emotional wounds, you may have tried other ways to manage, but certain memories or emotions remain overwhelming. EMDR offers a way to process those memories so they no longer hold the same emotional weight, helping you move forward with greater freedom and peace.
As a therapist trained in EMDR, I create a safe, structured environment where you can explore and heal from past experiences at your own pace. EMDR is designed to help you regain control over your emotional responses to trauma or distressing memories. Through specific, guided exercises involving eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel and respond to certain triggers. Over time, you’ll gain more control over those distressing thoughts, leading to a greater sense of emotional balance. Many clients who come in for EMDR have found that it not only reduces the intensity of past memories but also brings new clarity and relief to areas of their lives they hadn’t expected.
