Four pathways for the patterns that are running your life.

For adults carrying anxiety, overthinking, and the kind of procrastination that makes a capable person feel like they're watching their own life. You'll learn to catch the thought before it runs the day.

Pre-teen years bring big emotional shifts. I help kids between 10 and 13 understand what they're feeling, build real coping tools, and start responding differently.

Your teen is all over the place. The attitude changes, the withdrawal, the arguments at home. You may feel like you’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to fully get through.
Learn MoreYou wake up with intentions.
Today is the day. You know what needs to happen.
Before you even get going, your mind crowds in:
Where do I start?
What if I mess this up?
This is going to take too long.
It’s uncomfortable. You let your attention drift.
You tell yourself you’ll get to it in ten minutes. You pick up your phone. Go for a little walk. Have a quick snack.
Ten minutes later, it’s “just 10 more minutes, and then I’ll get going.” You lose hours that way.
By afternoon, you’re behind. And you’re dealing with this building pressure that wasn’t there when you woke up.
That’s what makes it so frustrating.
You know the cycle. You can describe it to someone else. Fall behind, feel overwhelmed, beat yourself up, try again, repeat.
That self-awareness doesn’t help. It just adds another layer.
Now you’re frustrated that you know and still can’t break it. You start asking questions that have no clean answer:
Why do I keep doing this?
What’s wrong with me?
Until you figure out a different approach, the cycle keeps repeating.
At some point, it isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about needing a better way.
It’s a pattern problem.
Let’s break that pattern down in real time.
We’ll look at what’s happening in the moment with your thoughts, reactions, and behaviors. Then, I’ll help you build practical tools to help you respond differently.
You’ll learn how to:
First, you’ll gain more understanding of yourself and how you think, feel, and act.
On that foundation of understanding, you’ll have the tools and awareness to do something different.
…now knows how to begin.
Not because everything is perfect… But because you’re no longer caught in the same pattern that used to operate below your awareness.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of New Horizons Family Counseling Services.
I work with adults who are doing their best to manage stress, anxiety, overthinking, and life’s everyday challenges, as well as children and teens who are learning to navigate emotions, behavior, relationships, and school-related struggles. My goal is to help clients build practical skills, strengthen confidence, and create meaningful change both in and outside of therapy.
Growing up, I faced my share of challenges and spent time navigating situations that could have easily sent me down a very different path. There were moments when I felt misunderstood and struggled to find people who truly saw the person behind the behavior. Those experiences shaped who I am today and helped me understand how important it is for children and teens to feel heard, supported, and understood. I became a therapist because I wanted to be the kind of person I could have benefited from when I was younger – someone who sees potential, builds connection, and helps young people develop the tools they need to succeed.
The way I work is practical and real. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it works. Not as a philosophy, but as a set of skills you leave the room with.
This isn’t just about understanding your patterns – it’s about learning how to change them.
The goal is to help you move through your day with more clarity, more consistency, and a greater sense of control.
I primarily work with children and teens ages eight and up who are struggling with emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, anxiety, and social difficulties, as well as adults ranging from young adulthood through middle adulthood who may be dealing with anxiety, overthinking, procrastination, stress, and life transitions.
You've been in the loop. You know it's not working.
There's a way to move through your day with more clarity and follow-through.
Not for the version of you that has it together. For the version of you that's ready to figure it out.
