I grew up in the Bay Area. I come from an at-risk background myself, so when I say I get it, I mean that literally, not from a textbook.
Basketball brought me to Redding on a scholarship at Simpson University. I stayed because the work I found here mattered. I went on to get my master’s from National University and started building a career doing what I actually care about.
I’ve worked in high-trauma facilities, schools, and wellness centers, spending years working directly with at-risk youth before opening my own practice. Every one of those settings taught me something different about how people change and what gets in the way.
What I learned is this: awareness alone doesn’t cut it. Understanding why you do something is great. But understanding plus action is where real change happens.
I work mostly with kids and teens eight and up who are dealing with big emotions and behavioral challenges, and adults, generally 18 to 50, who are caught up in anxiety, overthinking, and procrastination.
My style is direct. I use a lot of analogies. I’ll probably make you laugh. I’m not the therapist who nods and says, “and how does that make you feel?” for 50 minutes.
We’re going to talk, but we’re also going to work. You’ll walk out with actual tools you can use that week.

I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adults, and families in mental health and social services. My background includes working in wraparound programs, teen centers, schools, and social work, which has given me experience working with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences.
I am currently an Associate Clinical Social Worker working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My approach to therapy is relaxed, conversational, and collaborative. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help people better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier ways to cope with challenges.
I believe therapy is about working together. I want to create a comfortable and supportive space where people can express themselves openly without feeling judged. My goal is to help people reflect on what they are going through, recognize their strengths, and find solutions that work for them. I also believe growth is an ongoing process, and I continue to learn and grow as a therapist alongside the people I work with.
