Will my teen even open up to a therapist?

A lot of teens come in skeptical and warm up faster than parents expect. I don't talk down to them, and I don't pretend to have all the answers, which is usually the thing that gets them to actually talk.

How involved will I be as the parent?

You won't get a detailed recap after every session because your teen needs to know what they share stays between us. We'll talk separately about how to support what's being built, and you'll start noticing changes at home.

How long until I see something different?

Most parents start noticing small shifts within the first month or two: quicker recoveries, fewer blowups, and conversations that go differently than they would have a month ago. The bigger changes build from there.

Do you do telehealth or in-person?

Sessions happen via telehealth across California, so your teen can be in a space they're already comfortable in. That alone tends to lower the wall.

What ages do you work with?

I work with teens, roughly 12 to 17, and kids 8 and up more broadly. If you're not sure whether I'm the right fit, the free consult is the place to figure that out.
